This weeks assignment is devoted to playing with color changing yarns while learning how to use a multi-shaft loom.

Requirements #
Spend 2 hours weaving on one of the 8-shaft loom (an appointment calendar is available via Canvas). Listen to your favorite albums, weave something that reminds you of the music. Focus on the feel, giving yourself room to play. Leave your work on the loom and weave a 2" tabby header after your work to prep the loom for the next person.
At some point in your weaving, integrate your color-changing wefts with whatever technique you desire. After weaving, we’ll activate teh color changing yarns with a blow dryer and see how they affect the appearance of the cloth.
Bonus: You can also use resistive heating to activate your color changing yarns with electricity. Consider using a drop spindle to wind the painted yarn with the statex conductive thread. Because the Statex thread has higher resistance, when you connect the thread to power, it will activate the color change.
